5th Biennial of Slovene Visual Communications (Brumen 05) — Illustrations, Infographics & Award
For the 5th Biennial of Slovene Visual Communications (Brumen), the premier national event in the field of design, Lukatarina studio co-created the visual experience of the event. While the core identity concept was helmed by designer Matjaž Čuk, Lukatarina stepped in as the authors of the illustrations and infographics, which came to life across the pages of the official catalog and on the circular exhibition panels.
The visual language of the infographics is based on a modular system of dots. Through clean yet dynamic geometry, these elements assemble into intriguing and occasionally humorous statistical depictions of various topics. This approach infused rigid statistics with a playful, engaging, and instantly readable character, directly connecting with visitors and adding a dynamic layer to the exhibition layout.
This fifth edition also marked an exceptional milestone for us as authors: our socially engaged poster series Morski odpadniki (Marine Outcasts) was awarded the First Prize in the poster category, with the international jury recognizing and affirming our strong conceptual and visual voice in the public sphere.
